Maritime Radio

To operate a maritime radio, you need a ROC(M) certificate. It is the law!

The Maritime Radio course teaches emergency radio procedures, as well as everyday operating techniques. Learn all about the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (DSC/GMDSS).

This course, will prepare you for the Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime) with DSC Endorsement exam. Secure your lifeline. Be sure that you and your family take the Maritime Radio course.
This is a 3 night course, with the exam written on the 3rd night.

This seminar has become very popular with employers for in-service training as well as with various community groups. It can also be provided to the general public whenever sufficient numbers warrant. For details please contact the squadron.
